Gellerups Skygger / Gellerup’s Shadows

Gellerups Skygger er et skyggeteater – en installation af lys og lyd – som vi udvikler sammen med beboerne i Gellerup. I løbet af efteråret 2024 har vi afholdt vi en række workshops, hvor Gellerups beboere blev inviteret til at skabe de skyggedukker, som vil vise fortællingerne fra Gellerup.

Projektet er støttet af Gellerups Kulturmidler (Aarhus Kommune) og Statens Kunstfond.

Gellerup’s Shadows is a shadow theatre – an installation of light and sound – that we are developing together with the residents of Gellerup. During fall 2024 we hosted a number of workshops where the residents were invited to create shadow puppets to tell the stories from Gellerup.

Åbningsfest 17. januar 2025 /

Opening party 17 January 2025

17. januar kl. 16 inviterer vi til åbningsfest, og værket vil debutere. Det foregår på Verdenspladsen i Gellerup, hvor installationen vil blive projiceret op på tre bygninger og afspille i et loop. 

Gellerups Skygger kører frem til 13. februar, og vil afspille to timer hver morgen og aften.

17 January at 4 pm we are hosting an opening party where the work will debut. This will take place on Verdenspladsen in Gellerup where the installation will be map projected onto three buildings and play in a loop.

Gellerup’s Shadows will be running until 13 February and will play for two hours each morning and evening.
